Hello everybody ,
I'm tryng to explain you my problem I'm not able to solve .
I've received an e-mail (without virus) with attached
an .lnk file
which refers to an HTM document .
Tryng to open it , through the path TOOLs/ OPTION
FOLDERS /TYPE FILE , I've created a NEW TYPE FILE
with .LNK extension
link it to INTERNET EXPLORER Application .
FROM THEN , ALL THE SHORTCUTS ON THE PC ARE DISABLED ,
although they are configured and visible . Moreover , I
can't came back cause the extension I created don't
appears in the list of Type Files .
I've tried to check , with caution , the Editor Register
System , but I'm only able to lose myself, although I
believe the solution is there .
At this point (or moment), the only way is to ask help to
really experts . The system is Windows 2000 .

I'm grateful for your help GIACOMO

The extension is already in use by the operating system for shortcuts. Best
to restore the registry from a recent backup.
