I have an application that uses a fixed path to access resources
(//computer1/databases ).
I changed my lmhosts according to
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=150800
10.0.0.114 computer1 #PRE #DOM:mydomain
also tried
10.0.0.114 computer1 #PRE
Calling nbtstat -R , nbtstat -r gives me: Resolved by Broadcast 5 ,
Resolved by Name Server 5, Registered by Broadcast 4, Registered by
Name Server 0
Netbios Names Reolved by Broadcast :...(list not including computer1)
I enabled "Enable LMHOSTS lookup" in Wins and also opened the lmhosts
in "Import LMHOSTS..." and NeaBIOS setting are default.
I changed lmhosts ( not lmhosts.sam ;-)) and saved the file as Unicode.
Ping computer1 gives me the default location for not resolved
adresses.
Is there still something missing?
