LJ1200 scanner assy - source for just the motor ?

The LJ1200 scanner assy. {RG9-1486} go bad so often due to just the
motor assy. Has anyone found a source for the motor assy? I have been
able to repair & built some of the motor assy. but would like a source
for just the motor assy ?

If it's the motor that's at fault, is it not possible to look at th
label on the motor for the actual part number as opposed to
complete assembley

Just an idea....at least I've propped the post u
alittle while longer

I think you'll find that the motor in the scanner unit is built into the
rotating mirror unit. It's possible you may find that you shaft has jamed,
you may be able to clean it and re-lub. I had an 1100 in the workshop shop
with that problem, a little gentle cleaning and lubed with watch oil and it
was running again
