live video over internet????

Hi all,
I have a laptop ,a webcam, a website and cable connection to the internet.
I want to have live video from the webcam on the website.
Is that possible? if so, what do I need?

I'm not sure, but I believe Winamp can do that now.
 
Ofcourse I tried www.google.nl, but I was hoping to get a reaction from
someone who already found out howto.
Googling brought me a lot of adult sites though :-|

when you are looking for something you have never used before it is
often very difficulty to describe it.

I just found this:- "SimpleCam 1.3"

and am streaming a web-cam on one PC, across my home network to a web
page in a browser on another.

I have some web space I have that is hosted by a Linux server, I now
need to find a way of securely getting the web cam image onto the
web-site.
 
I know its irritating isn't it? LOL

I usually avoid saying that because I don't like to hear it either... but it
was too tempting now to resist :-)

Thanks a lot Vlad; this is the kind of reaction I was hoping for.
I will check it out these days.
If you find a way of getting the image onto the web-site, please post
back. When I find out howto I will do that also.
