Hi,

Can someone help please?

All of a sudden, I find that when I type in a search term in my address bar,
it comes back with results from Microsoft Live Search. It used to display
with results from Yahoo! which is what I want.

How did I get this Live Search within my browser in the first place and how
do I get rid of it and return back to having search results displayed by
Yahoo! again.

Thank you for your time.

Same thing here (except I was using Google). The support people at Live
Search gave instructions on how to change search engine (open Search tab,
hit Customize, pick from the list) but the only engines in the list are Live
Search and Freeserve. They then suggested contacting the IE support section
of Microsoft, but I'm reluctant to do that as it costs $59 per request.

You got it by not paying attention during installation of live.com betas.
Both Windows Live Messenger 8.5 and Windows Live Mail 12.0.1184 will default
to setting Live Search during installation; *unless* you uncheck the options
during installation. Other installers I have seen are very similar; one
offered to install the Google Toobar *and* the Google Desktop. You need to
pay attention to the install options any more.

Never having had to undo a Live Search installation, I don't know for sure
how to undo it. I'd start with the MS Internet Explorer search customization
settings. There might also be an option in the application advanced menus
under Tools > Options; both WLMs have advanced menus.
