tried that. current settings is: DEP only on for important Windows programs
and services... and aperntly it see's Live messenger as a important program

Jonas Pedersen spewed out this bit, and i'll scatter a few bits myself:
My messenger is a victim of DEP and i cant run it. what can i do?

Right click My Computer > Advanced system settings > Advanced Tab. Then,
under "Performance" click the "Settings" button. Click the "Data Execution
Prevention" tab, and add the problem program to the list.

Actually.. this is flash biting you in the butt..

These are the basic steps...
Download the uninstaller and uninstall flash: http://www.adobe.com/
cfusion/knowledgebase/index.cfm?id=tn_14157
Kill all iexplore.exe and WLM processes and anything else that might
use flash.
Find any process that may still be using the ocx and kill them
Delete the \windows\system32\macromed\flash directory.
Go to www.adobe.com and reinstall flash without the yahoo toolbar.
Go to www.youtube.com to test to make sure it works.

I have the same issue and its driving me nuts! All of the help toics say to
exclude it, this doesn't work. It will not allow the exclusion. Any other
ideas?
