When opening the web, instead of the local copy open the URL
(http://www.domain.com)

.
tried that and i got a error message --- " the
folder "http://www.domain.com/" isnt accessible. The
folder may be located in an unavailable location,
protected with a password, or the filename contains a /
or \.

any ideas on how to circumvent this?

The folder "http://Website" isn't accessible. The folder may be located on
an unavailable volume or protected with a password.

You might also consider the free "Jimco Open Web" addin from
www.jimcoaddins.com which bypasses the web folders.

Did you type in www.domain.com or did you use your domain
information?

Hi Tom,
I didn't understand your answer to Dave. How does the Jimco Open Web work?
Does it allow a designer to go directly to a site and then edit live on that
site? Thanks for any clarification.
