little window in the corner?

When I click a link to show a smaller window it always opens the right size, but in the far corner and I have to drag it to the middle of the screen to read it. How can I fix it so when I open a link the window is in the middle?
 
Open such a link.
Don't use the maximize button.
Stretch the edges/corners so that the window fills the screen.
Close all other IE windows.
Close the stretched window last.
