There's a new Dist RU installer. Works a treat.

LiteStep Dist.RU Installer 1.1 : xStep 0.24.7 Edition (17.02.2005)

-Updated LiteStep build to xStep 0.24.7 by Andymon.
-Removed i386 and i686 builds choose sections.
-Updated dist.ru theme to 1.1.
-Dist.RU project is now available on Sourceforge.net
sourceforge.net/­projects/­distru/­. Installer SDK will be available
soon.


Dist.RU theme (17.02.2005)

-Added ability to choose your default Audio player to start it with
player control buttons (Defined in Evars/Defined other/Module's
autodetection, default - Module's autodetection). In Config menu,
Audio player submenu.
-Fixed Icons text color changing script.
-Removed wallpapers Dist.RU-Morning/Day/Evening/Sky.
-Updated xlabel to 3.3.2.
-Updated lsbox to 2.96.

How does this relate to the main LiteStep development tree? Is this a fork?

It's a fork twice over, I think. The Dist RU installer has been
around for a while and has always been a little different from Omar's
installer. Not better, just different. Now they're using the "xStep"
core by Andymon, which is a declared fork. The "xStep" core works
well with Omar's version, too.

Such differences as exist are very minor and don't break backward
compatability for modules and themes.
