Is there any way to have Data Validation List refer to a range of cells in a different sheet. I have product list that will be updated at least once a month in the first sheet and five other sheets that use product names from the product list, so i'd like to have drop-down list in the cell where product needs to be displayed.
Thank you in advance

Try Debra Dalgleish's web site, and scroll down to "D" to find everything
you need pertaining to Data Validation.

If you name the range that contains the product list, you can refer to
it in data validation on other sheets.

There are instructions on my web site:

I cheat ... Ron's Google Add-In has it already spelled out for me in the
"Favorite Excel Sites"!<g>

You spelled my name correctly though,
and that's not as easy as it looks. ..

Come on, it's not *that* hard ... and we can always refer to PD James's
books if we forget <vbg>.

Vasant.

I know that ... just checking to see if you were awake enough to defend your
"good name" <g>.
