I was hoping someone could point me to a script that will dump all the folder
permissions for all of my AD users into a txt or csv file. Is this even
possible?

I know there are 3rd party apps that will basically do this, but I was
hoping for a free script for this 1 time task.

Thanks!

Okay, I found a free program called DumpSec here http://www.somarsoft.com/
that basically does what I want. My only complaint is that you can't sort
folder permissions based on each user. You can, however, view all folder
permissions based on each folder. But this will only show if a group has
permissions, and not the specific user.

It also has some other useful features.

You can trim down or expand the information this will display as
well... Also you can save the report, open / import with excel and
sort any way you would like...

Jay,

DSRAZOR for Windows excels at producing a list of folders (and files, if
desired) to which users and groups have been granted access. Reports can be
exported as either CSV files or TXT files. To learn more, download a free
trial version, and schedule a one-on-one presentation of DSRAZOR's
capabilities, please visit our web site:

He pointed out he was looking for freeware. This isn't the place to hawk
your wares.
