Hello,

I created a style that applies a list (i, ii, ...) to a text line.
Example:

i. Calculate the following:

I have marks turned on so I see:

i. -> Calculate the following:

Then I created a new list item and I get:

ii. -> Second item.

However, I want this item to start in i. again so I did that but I
get:

i. -> Second item.

I get spacing between the i. and the text. I have no idea why.

When I apply the style again it gets back to:
ii. -> Second item.

Any idea what am I doing wrong?

I am not sure how to post my style here so you can see it.

Thanks,
Miguel

When you restart the numbering, Word creates another list. For some reason,
something goes wrong with the indentation of the newly created list. Did you
change the indentation of the original (not restarted) list? How did you
change it? For a single-level list, see if you can set the desired
indentation via the Adjust List Indents dialog box (right-click the list and
choose Adjust List Indents from the context menu). On the other hand, if
this is a multilevel list, use Home tab | Multilevel List | Define New
Multilevel List.
