Hi! Happy new year.
I have a small office network. and have recently
upgraded a wireless hub. We have 4 laptops on the
network and a printer/file sever desktop machine. 2 of
the laptops can access the file server and the other 2
can't. All are able to ping the file server through the
hub so that is working ok. When I try to view work group
computers, or other computers near me, I get an error
message saying that the list of servers is not available.
The subnets and IP's are all fine - it is just the
permissions or the server list that needs sorting but I
don't know how do approach it. A friend mentioned LM
Hosts, but this means nothing to me...
please help!
