Wowbagger

I am running Outlook 2000. The spammers are forcing me to change my email
address yet again (this time I lasted about 4 years before they found me)
and I need to identify those who need to be alerted to my new address.

Is there a way to generate a list of everybody who has sent me an email in,
say, the past six months so I can see who should be given the new address?

Just guessing, Wowbagger, but why not try this? (assuming you don't delete
incoming mail) - - sort the list of incoming mail by date - - by
double-clicking the head of the date column - - scroll down the list (now
chronologically ordered) to the point where the last 6 months begin, and
then select and copy the list. If it's a long list with a lot of repeat
senders scattered throughout, try to copy it to a table or database and once
copied, sort the "sender" column alphabetically for easy elimination of
duplicate or multiple senders, and then delete all but one copy of each
sender's name.

Thanks for the tip... actually, I stumbled upon a previously unknown feature
that was quite helpful. I clicked <view>, <current view>, <customize
current view>, <group by> and grouped all of the messages by sender. Made
it a snap to see which messages were from real people and which were from
spammers.
