I am currently using Norton Internet Security and am
blocking traffic/probes to a number of paorts on my
machine. Some are listed in Norton when you block them
e.g finger, ftp, ms-sql-m, http etc. Is there a way of
getting a list of all the ports configured and what they
are for? for example, I am currently blocking on port
3127 in TCP, It is getting a large number of hits and am
wondering what is listening on that port and am I just
blocking benign hits? Any help would be appreciated.

There's a nice one at FoundStone.Com (Fport) too -- or at least it was a
nice one
but it doesn't seem to work on Win2003 and maybe not XP.

Cool thing about it is that it gives the FILE PATH back to the executable.

3127 is a preety standard attack port for doom

try www.grc.com - he has a port authority listing which gives all port
definitions
