List Box Help

I have a form with multiple list boxes. They are running queries that return
sums for that quarter of the year based on the category and the particular
quarter.
Quarter 1 Quarter 2 Quarter 3
Quarter 4
Category A [List Box] [List Box] [List Box]
[List Box]
Category B [List Box] [List Box] [List Box]
[List Box]
Category C [List Box] [List Box] [List Box]
[List Box]
[SUM] [SUM] [SUM]
[SUM]

My problem is that i can not get the sum boxes to work. I can see the
correct number in the list box when i update my form, but the sum box thinks
that the list box is empty. How can i make my sum boxes work?
