I just read this on the web. LInux WINE (Windows emulator) passed the Windows
Genuine Advantage software validation test. Funny, since my "genuine" copy of
Windows XP Media Center 2005 did not!

The moderators continue to claim there is no problem with this validation
tool!

What moderators? This newsgroup isn't moderated.

I do agree that WGA is a sick joke on many levels, and the idea of Linux
passing WGA testing is a good laugh for sure. Only an idiot would claim it
has no problems at all.

"Moderators", Microsoft Support Representatives,MS-MVP, self proclaimed
experts....etc.

Jerry

MVP's are not self proclaimed experts.. we all helped/help in newsgroups and
other online communities, and have received an award for our persistent
efforts from Microsoft..

So, looking at the statement above, where do you get the idea that we 'self
proclaim' bearing in mind that Microsoft are responsible for the award?..

It must really get to you to know that some of the MVPs have a substantial
net worth too.. lol..

Easy there Mike........did you miss the comma between MS-MVP and self
proclaimed experts? My intent was to clarify what I meant by "moderators" for
Robert Moir. No "dis" intended. ; )

Right. Please don't lump us all together. I've spoken out long and hard
against WGA and will continue to do so against any scheme whose basic
premise is that all customers are thieves who have to constantly prove they
are not every time they draw breath.
