I am trying to connect a WinXP Pro computer to a RED HAT
LINUX 8.0 computer. They see each other fine and share
internet when windows ME has boot and not linux.

Does anyone have any ideas???

Yes. Rephrase your question and give us some details regarding your
configuration and connectivity. If they can see each other and share the
Internet, what's the problem?

Do you have a dual boot ME and Linux you are trying to conenct? And the
problem is that Linux does not share the Internet and files? Do the XP and
Linux ping each other? Have you installed and configured SAMBA on the Linux
computer? Did you create a SAMBA user on the Linux computer?
