Linux and Server Extensions

I am trying to design a small website for a company and have tried to user
the standard username and password to enter a subsite. This will work no
problems on the localhoast but I can't put it on to the web as my ISP is
running on linux and they don't support FrontPage server extensions.

Does anyone have a workaround or can you point me in some direction or
webpage I can look at. I have goggled this many times but am getting no luck.

The website I have design (no-where near finished yet) is

http://www.3peakscorporatechallenge.com/

Any tips from front page experts would be really great - I am NOT a web
designer so if you do have the time, any criticism or tips what be
appreciated.

Oh and I know about forgetting to put the background in the FAQ’s and E Mail
dropdown layers (I will get better at this – it’s quite fun) I will get to it
in the morning.

Many thanks for your time

Have you contacted your web host to see if they have a solution?

Subwebs / subsites are only supported on a server that has the FP extensions and the web host allows
the creation of subwebs / subsites, and if you also want to use unique permissions, the web host
must also allow that feature.

Hi Thomas

Yes I have contacted them the only promlem I'm having is that I need to have
a small subsite that only team captains can access. Do you have any work
arounds as I am getting nothing back from the host.

As you can see (if you have time to check out the site briefly) from the
type of site I'm trying design a team captains login page would be really
helpfull

I don't really want to change ISP but if there is no work around I may have to

You would need to either be able to create folder on the live/remote server and then assign unique
permissions to it via a control panel or your web host would have to do if for you or check for a
PHP based solution.

or

You will need to switch web host.
