I have an odd problem that maybe someone out there has seen before.
I am running Win2K PRO on a laptop. I have recently installed a
WPC11 802.11B PCMCIA card to connect to a Linksys Access Point/Router.
When I start up with the WPC11, everything appears to be OK.
Diagnostics say that the card can find the access point and WEP is not
currently enabled anywhere in the network.
If I issue a ping command, I get through fine. If I launch a
browser, it gets as far as "Web site found. Waiting for reply..." and
then times out.
There is no proxy setting on the browser.
The thing that is really throwing me for a loop is that if I stick an
ethernet cable into the laptop and the very same Access Point/Router,
it works fine.
Anyone ever hear of such a thing?
