Linksys Print Server

I have a linksys router and a Print server, the print server and router are
all hooked up. My main computer is setup to print through the network and
prints fine through the print server. My laptop is unable to Ping the print
server or even see the printer, but is able to get out to the internet. Is
there a configuration that is needed when using DSL?

This sounds like basic TCP/IP configuration errors, but you don't
provide any details to check. Make sure the systems are in the same
subnet, firewall rules are configured correctly and name resolution,
if you're pinging by name, is correct.

Both computers are on the same subnet, the laptop is able to ping the router
but not the print server. Nothing changed on the firewall side. I even
tried with static IPs and that did nothing. Any other suggestions. I have
sit this up before but on Cable modem, so I was wondering could it be DSL.
My next approach was reinstalling the software. Any ideas?
 
Can the two computers ping each other? I don't think it would be your
internet connection since your print server is on your local network.

Please give the Network settings (IP#, Mask, Gateway) of one machine that
works, one that doesn't, and the Printer Server. The Router & DSL is
irrelevant since you are not going over the Internet to get there. Without
knowing those details, this is just a "guessing game".

Can the other computer ping the print server? Does the Linksys have a
print server utility that needs to go on the laptop? Any other
protocols configured, such as NetBEUI on any system? Print server
using DLC by any chance? I'm not familiar with the Linksys, have you
tried Linksys for support?
