Does anyone have any experience with this thing??

I have the server configured but I can seem to get pass this thing. I have
tired using port forwarding but it doesn't seem to work. There are so many
settings udder the VPN part and no clear explanation anyway I can find to
explain it all.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

BEFVP41 is PPTP passthrough. So you need to open just one port. 1723. This
may help. quoted from http://www.ChicagoTech.net
Which ports need to be opened for running VPN

A: PPTP VPN uses TCP Port 1723, IP Protocol 47 (GRE); L2TP: UDP Port 1701;
IPSec: UDP Port 500, Pass IP protocol 50 and 51. Note: 47 is a protocol
number and not TCP port. The protocol name is GRE. It'll make a big
difference when configuring your firewall or router.

Thanks Robert! Ah, one step closer :-).. OK get verifying user name and
password and now getting a "721" error.
I see I need to open port 47 for GRE. I noticed below the info for GRE:
Note: 47 is a protocol number and not TCP port. The protocol name is GRE.
It'll make a big difference when configuring your firewall or router.

Ok then, how does one config this and where?? I look around and see if I
come across anything.

Thanks for the help!

OK.. I now see by LinkSys that I need to have PPTP Pass Through is set to
Enable on the Router's Filters page.

One this router, I can't find a "filters" page but this information is
location on the VPN tab. There is a LOT of stuff here. I wouldn't think I
should have to set all of this up. If so I have no idea and there again, no
info in the manual or online.

I have enabled PPTP now and still having the 721 error. I know I am
close... :-(...

Thanks,
Mark
