When I open IE and type "www" in the browswer window a second window opens with a list of a great many websites. I have attempted to delete these websites both collectively and individually and have no success. I am wondering how to erase these links. I have no use for them and they are annoying.

Thank you

Try running spybot search and destroy and see if it maybe
spayware related that may solve your problem

Hi,

Start/run regedit, navigate to this key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\TypedURLs

Delete the strings from the right-hand pane that represent the sites you
wish to remove. Close the registry editor.

Go to the Control Panel/Internet Options/Content tab, click on autocomplete.
Uncheck the web addresses entry.

Nutcase,

Just a quick thankyou for your help with my Links question. Needless to say your suggestion was effective in solving my problem.
