Links won't work in Mozilla Firefox

Can anyone help me figure out why some links would work on IE but would not
work in Mozilla Firefox?

Thanks,
Simona

Do the links use javascvript by any chance??

Open the offending page in FireFox and then click Tools > Javascript console and see if it lists any errors.

Are you placing any links in text-boxes? These links will only work in
Internet Explorer 5.5 and later - other browsers (IE5.2 and earlier,
Netscape [all versions], FireFox, Opera, Safari etc.) see an image of
the text, and links do not function at all.

The site is www.energytech365.com. Take a look at it and see what you think,
but since my links are in text boxes, I am pretty sure that this is the issue
causing problems. I don't have firefox myself, my client was informed of the
problem.

Thanks,
Simona

Kinda looks like a Publisher created web - but FP can create this stuff too.

Your extensive use of textboxes, shapes, etc. will not render well in
browsers other than IE, as they rely on VML (vector markup language).
Images, if displayed, may be converted to downlevel gifs...and they
are...you need to look yourself.

You really should download FF and check!

Look at http://www.rxs-enterprises.org/tests/vml-graphics.htm
which shows how VML graphics will display in non-IE browsers, and show
what can happen if the browser size, or text size, is changed.
As Rob said, FireFox is an essential tool for web authors.

W3c shows 133 errors for that page.

It is really ugly in FireFox also.

I just love Publisher created sites.........

It was actually created in FrontPage. Is there anything I can do at this
stage or would I have to change the site completely?

Tks
Simona

If you want to be cross-browser compatible, I'd rebuild the site.

Take out all the Wordart type stuff and put in real graphics, like .jpg or
..gif files, that seems to be the major problem.

Do a PrtScrn then Paste it into your favorite image editor, cut out all the
graphics you need and save them as .gifs or .jpgs then use them to rebuild
your site.
