Hi,
I am having problems with IE when I clicl on a new link within a window.
Example:
If I enter a site and there is a link to a photo, when I click on that link
the computer freezes for about a minute then it goes back to its previous
state without going to the new address of the link I clicked on. If I right
click the mouse and copy the short cut and paste it on the toolbar then I can
go to the new address. This occurs on most shortcuts in new windows, but not
all of them. Any suggestions would be extremely helpful.

Hi,
Yyou may have a toolbar or program running which is blocking
pop-up windows- something like Yahoo Companion, Google toolbar, MSN toolbar,
etc.
Yahoo Companion is a very common cause.

You'll have to turn off the feature that's blocking new windows or, perhaps,
uninstall the program.

With some programs of this type, using Ctrl+click or Shift+click will allow
a new window.

If you're sure that another program isn't causing this, these links should
help.

Hi Don,
Thanks for responding. I have tried the links you left in your response
without success. Hitting control click does move me to an open window, but it
goes to my homepage and not the page the button is linked to.
I do have the Earthlink Total Access Toolbar. Because of the way it is
integrated into Explorer and Outlook Express, I will loose all my mail and
archives if I uninstall it. I need to back it up my mail first. I will try
uninstalling it. Although I have had it for a few years without having a
problem. I did upgrade to XP SP2 and I think it worked ok after the upgrade.
I am not certain when this problem began, but it started recently.
Thanks for the info, I hope removing the toolbar works.
