Links to URL

When I send an email with an embedded link to an URL, some of the recipients
can not open the site but others can. This problem started when I moved from
Outlook Express to Windows Mail. What would cause this?

The link is to a .org website. They were able to use the link when I sent it
with Outlook Express, but not with Microsoft mail. So It is my computer, not
theirs.

I think I solved the problem on my own. I change the HTML setting in Mail
from Printable Quote to Base 64 and everything seems to work now.

MIME/None would be a better choice.

How do I change this printible quote thing in Windows Mail on Vista. I keep
getting application not found when I attempt to click on an e-mail URL to
visit a link. What seems to be the problem. I never had a problem with
Outlook Express at all!

The "printible quote thing" has nothing to do with your issue.
You need to have Windows Mail assume all three of its defaults
(the pertinent one in this case being the URL protocol handler).
Go to Default Programs (which you can get to either from
Control Panel or from the Start menu). Click on "Set your default
programs" and wait for it to populate. Click Windows Mail.
Click "Set this program as default."
That should do it.
