Links to no more existing files : how handle ?

Hi,

have ppt presentation, within which 3 slides point to no more existing
excell files.
These slides display the spreadsheet as it was, and should continue to
display that "image" as is.
However the links no more exist, and I get alerts when opening the file and
so on.
I do not find any way to simply "cut" the links, and leave the "snapshot" of
the referenced excel files as it is. I only find modify or update the links
options.

Any help ?

Rightclick each excel sheet, and choose Group, Ungroup from the popup menu.
Ungrouping breaks the link and leaves just the picture of the Excel content.
