links on the left side

I cannot get the text to fit correctly within the buttons on the left side.
I am building my first website and used the corporate template. Is there a
way to adjust the left side border to increase the width?

You either have to use less text or modify the images used in the theme, by editing the theme,
saving the theme under a new name, then removing the current theme and applying the newly modified
theme.
