Links not Working

I have recently performed a clean install and fully updated xp. This was due
to my HDD failing. I have performed a clone of the drive as a backup but
when I install the backup drive certain links in IE7 do not work. Example
links on bbc.co.uk work but certain links on the atari website do not work.
I can copy the shortcut into the address bar to access the page I want. I
get an script error stating an unexpected call to method or property access.

To post this question I have had to revert to my original install. The HDD
is a WD caviar and the cloning software is their own utility.

Hi
It is not totally clear to me the sequence of the backups and restore.
However if you do a clean install and then use over it and old backup you do
not have a clean install any more. What ever was "Bad" software wise in the
old system is back on the "Fresh Install".

Hi Jack

Thanks for replying. The issue seems to be on the clone. The original
install works fine. I was wondering as to the cause of this error? The
scripting error is present on the clone but not on the original. Could this
be caused by the cloning process? I am awaiting a replacement drive from WD
and placed the clean install on a spare seagate drive I have whilst I am
waiting. I have then cloned that onto a Excelstor drive to make sure that
there will be no problems when I clone onto the WD drive. The seagate will be
stored for future recovery when I get my replacement drive from WD.

Hi
In most cases when a clone does not work exactly as the original it means
that the backup process yielded a clone with corrupted file (or if it is a
direct cloning a corruption occurred during the process).
I use Acronis True Image and always validates the image after saving the
original
