Links not updating in Excel 97

HI

I am trying to update a monthly spreadsheet link from an old link to a new one. I can do all this, but for some reason the links are not updating

Could anyone help me and tell me what i may be doing wrong

Seems contradictory. You are trying to update something, you can do all
this, but it is not updating. Can you clarify?

Sorry, what I meant is that when trying to update the link with a new sheet, for some reason it is not picking up that link

The wizard does it stuff, then when you click on OK, it stills shows the old link.

I don't seem to have that problem in Excel 2002 and I can't recollect
exactly how the process worked in Excel 97. Sorry. Perhaps someone else can
jump in here.
