I want to run an exe from a slide in a presentation with
out "clicking" on the action button or rolling over the
action button with the mouse. I need to start the
executable by pressing the spacebar or the down arrow. The
presenter does not have access to a mouse from his
location. Any ideas?

There might be some way-cool VBA solution to this, but I take the pedestrian
bridge: I use a program called Macro Express which allows for any program or
series of commands to be executed from any keystroke.

I use it regularly with PowerPoint. When creating presentations, I switch
between the Notes page and the Slide view way too often to endure the menus.
So I have assigned F2 and F3 to quickly take me between the two views. I now
can't live without that shortcut and wish for the day that PowerPoint allows
for assigning of hotkeys as Word does...

Hi Denny,

PowerPoint does not have the capability to trigger a hyperlink or action
setting other than with mouse over or mouse click.

If you (or anyone else reading this message) think that PowerPoint should
provide greater user control for slide show navigation and triggering
actions in PowerPoint with the keyboard (without have to resort to an
add-in, VBA or 3rd party tools), don't forget to send your feedback to
Microsoft at:

As with all product suggestions, it's important that you not just state
your wish but also why it is important to you that your product suggestion
be implemented by Microsoft. Microsoft receives thousands of product
suggestions every day and we read each one but, in any given product
development cycle, there are only sufficient resources to address the ones
that are most important to our customers so take the extra time to state
your case as clearly and completely as possible.

IMPORTANT: Each submission should be a single suggestion (not a list of
suggestions)
