I am using PPT 2002 and am trying to build a ppt presentation showing all of
my company's locations in the world. I want to hover my cursor over each
location on the map and have specific information relative to that location
appear by linking that location to another ppt slide in the same
presentation. I have it working but as I add new slides previous slides that
worked stop working. When I "edit" the url for that location on the map, it
shows that the link to the appropriate slide has been cleared out. We have
110 locations throughout the world which means each slide really contains 110
links and obviously, with 110 sites there are 110 slides. Is PowerPoint
capable of handling these many links in one presentation? If so, why are the
links that previously worked, now being cleared out as I add new slides?

The short answer is no. PowerPoint is not capable of handling 110 links
on each of 110 slides (110 times 110 = 12,100 links). There is a limit
to the amount of storage space PowerPoint has for links.

Hi

As Steve and David said, there is a limit to the amount of links PowerPoint
can handle - you might want to look at mappoint or virtual earth for this
project. I don't use either so have no idea about them (cost, ease of use,
etc), all I know is this kind of thing is what they are good at :-)
