I have a "new behavior": I have VB6 on 3 computers. Several years ago when I
utilized Help for something like DateAddFunction, over on the right window of
the help screen it would show DateAdd Function and below it would be links to
"See Also" and "Example" and something else.
Now all it shows below DateAdd Function are three little squares with a dot
in the center of each one. (and the documentation is below that). First one
computer got the behaviour, then the second one, and now all three have this
behavior. (Word and Excell ver 2000 help have the same behavior.)I expect it
is some setting in IE that got changed when something was installed or I
visited some website. I do not know how to change it back to the original
behavior. Any ideas?

Thanks, John Brown

Hi John,

In the setup.exe that comes with VB6/VS6 there are options to re-install or
repair your installation. I think you need to re-install your msdn libraries
to repair the protocol handler (msdnhelp: or something like that) or.....

Alot of the online msdn documentation has been moved to a new network, msdn2
as support for VB6 was discontinued over a year ago. The links in your help
documents may be longer valid. I think this is the most likely cause....

Regards.

This behavior happens in Help for Word, Excell, and other mcirosoft programs,
not just Visual Basic.
