Hello

I hope I've got the right group.

When I click on a link to a website in a hotmail message - nothing happens.

Any ideas?

All the best

I have a similar problem that came after installation of XP SP2.

Now, when I click on a link in Hotmail or any other site that uses
Javascript, nothing happens. As I pass my mouse over the link, I see in the
bottem of the screen:

javascript:OpenWin('http://64.4.56.250/cgi-bin.....

Previously, this would cause a new window to open.

I have checked my security and Java settings but I can't see anything
relevant to tweak.

I have the same problem as Felix. At about the same time I did SP2 update I
also upgraded from Norton antivirus to Norton Internet Security so I am not
sure which one is causing the problem. At the same time this occurred I
started having a problem going to a website and the only thing that appears
is Object is moved to HERE.... and have to click on HERE to get to the
website. Any ideas......Barb

Good news.

I read in one of the other recent posts the following command and so ran

regsvr32 urlmon.dll

No immediate cure but after a reboot the problem disappeared.

P.S. I also have Norton Internet Security & Norton Antivirus.

Felix, Thanks for the advice, but I still can't open hotmail links. Guess I
will keep searching and hope to find an answer as it is very annoying to
have to cut and paste everything and even then they don't all work.

Hello, try turning off Ad Blocker in Norton Internet Security.
I have also read to close hotmail, after turning this off, and open it
back up just to make sure it still works.
