Hello. I am having a HUGE problem with links.
We developed a gigantic PowerPoint data system (using over
600MB of info), split up into many different directories
and over 1000 different files. It has an interactive menu
system, created with links.
Here is my problem. We developed this system with Windows
98 using PowerPoint 97 and then upgrading to PowerPoint
2000. When upgrading the OS to Windows 2000, the links no
longer go to custom shows or real links, but rather go to
what seems like random places. Windows NT won't work
either, however, Windows XP works fine. Unfortunately, I
can't use Windows XP on our system due to restraints from
the network people.
So... the question is... how is this working? Is there a
way around this bug?
Lastly, how can I go to white papers to research about
PowerPoint and its internal structure? I've seen links to
them, but how do you get to the source?
Thank you for your time and help!
