"Links" folder in favorites

I know that IE has a default "links" folder in the favorites list. Even
though I delete it, it keeps coming back. There are no favorites within this
folder, but the folder itself keeps coming back. Is there a way I can remove
it permanently? It's not a big deal, just a bit of an annoyance.

Open Windows Explorer -> Documents and Settings -> UserName -> Favorites:
right click on the "Links" Folder -> Properties -> Check the "Hidden" box.
