When clicking on links that lead to various websites from
my Outloook Express on WIN XP, the links do not open, and
there is no error message etc. Simply nothing is
happening. Anyone has an idea? Many thanks.

Hi,

Start/Run/CMD. Type this command: REGSVR32 URLMON.DLL. Ok/Reboot. Then go
to: IE/Tools/Internet Options/Programs/Reset Web Settings.

Check your settings here:

Windows Explorer/Tools/Folder Options/File Types. Scroll down to
URL:HyperText Transfer Protocol/Advanced/Edit.

Under Application used to perform action it should read:
"C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe" -nohome

Hi, isi.

In addition to Sebastjan's tips, remember that these links don't work from
the Compose window. In other words, if you type in a link as you are
drafting a message, that link won't work until you close that window. To
test the link before sending the message, you can either Send the message to
yourself and then test it from the message when it appears in your Inbox; or
Close the compose window, answer Yes to "save the changes?", and then look
at the message in your Drafts folder and test the link from there.
