Links and how they are displayed

Once upon a time my links (not general favorites) were a
separate tool bar just under the address tool bar. Since
EI6 was installed, I haven't been able to figure out how
I got them there. I dislike having to click on links and
then find the one I want. I would much prefer them to be
on screen at all times.

I have tried dragging the line under address toolbar down
but I never get the fat double-sided arrow that would
allow this.

Thanks for your time

The Toolbar is probably locked.
Unlock it and then you will be able to change the size of your
toolbar trays. E.g. you will notice a lug on the left end of each
of them.

It's done via the View menu: Alt-V,T,b

Tip: if you would like to save some screen real estate and only
use your Address bar occasionally you could leave the toolbar
unlocked and then just doubleclick on the Links or Address labels
whenever you wanted to switch to them. That automatically
expands a contracted tray at the expense of an expanded one.

Don't overlook the alternative of the Open dialog for typing in and
pasting new URLs. About the only thing the Address bar is really
needed for is learning what the current location is and even that can
be substituted by using right-click Properties, etc.
