Using zone.com with new patches. Let's say I host the game in "game 1". My
partners also sign and and join me. We get a connection error every time and
can't connect. One partner is using a Gateway router and another partner and
myself are using hi speed broadband also without a router. The partner
without a router can host a game and I can join and we can play through but
the one with the router still can'y connect. Remember now, all three of us
show in the room. Thanx for any help you can give us. Don

Hi Sven,

Sounds like the firewall in your Router or Broadband Modem is at fault:

Call the tech support for that unit, and ask them to either setup a "DMZ"
(De-Militarized Zone which means the firewall is disabled) to bypass the
built-in firewall, or open the necessary ports in the equipment with you.

Here's the List of all Ports used by Zone
and DX Games: http://mvps.org/nibblesnbits/PortRoute.html#ports

To setup your router yourself visit: www.portforward.com/routers.htm
