I have learned that BCM will not work for me since I cannot edit the contact
form. What I really did like about BCM is that it keep a permanent record of
all emails, notes, etc.

Hence, if I use the standard contacts in Outlook, where should I put the
emails, since linking does not apparently keep them permanently in a contacts
records? I normally empty my deleted folder and I was trying to stay away
from individual contact folders - thus the BCM solution. Any ideas?

Keep any email message that you want to refer to in one of the folders in your main .pst file.

That makes sense. Is there any place to put contact "notes" in Outlook (not
the BCM part). Thanks

1) In the body of a contact
2) In a journal item
3) In a note item (HINT: click the note icon at the upper-left of an open note.
