linking to documents in forms

I'm building my first database, and I couldn't find info on this through the
search engine here. I have a list of records accessible through a main form,
and for each record, I want to have a button/link/something to click on that
will open up a .pdf document specific to that record. How would I go about
doing that?

edit: I'm using Access 2000, and I've only made some very simple functional
forms, queries, tables, and reports, but I'm trying to learn Access at the
same time; this database I'm working on is going to be my guinea pig/medical
student's cadaver. It's just a listing of all the nearby restaurants open
for lunch, their contact info and other assorted attributes, and I want to
set up the form so that when I'm at a given record, I can click something
that will open up a scanned .pdf of the menu.

Hi

i would use a hyperlink field in the underlying table, linked to the pdf
file on the hard disk.
please post back if you'll like more details on how to achieve this.
