Good morning all

I'm struggling with creating simple dynamic links in a report. All I want to
do is pull that path and the text to display from a field in my database.

Here's the steps I'm taking that are not working.

1. Adding a Label element to my report. name: lblDirectory
2. setting the Caption to "My Document"
3. setting the Hyperlink Address to doc_Directory (which is the field in my
query that contain the path to the document I want linked too)

the links are not populated with the path. Iinfact, I can't get the data to
display at all when using Labels. I can if I use Text Boxes but then I don't
have the Hyperlink attribute available.

So, my question is, how do I create dynamic hyperlinks in Access Reports??

Reports are used to publish information. They don't have any click events so
hyperlinks are not functional.

Hi Duane

Thank you once again. Since posting this I managed to sort that part out but
even when I choose the "Publish with Microsoft Word" from the reports
toolbar the links return as "Error! Hyperlink reference not valid."

Can't help you on that one. If you don't get a response in this thread, you
might try create a new thread with the specifics.
