Hi All,

I wanted to know if its possible to link the charts in the ppt to the
data in an excel sheet. I first tried copy and paste the charts as
links, but the charts in the spreadsheet are long in size, so in ppt
the chart covers the entire graph.

Please help.

Thanks,
Navin

Hi Navin,

Yes, if you are using PowerPoint 2007. Then the diagrams are automatically
linked to an Excel table.
No, if you are using previous versions. But you can create your diagram in
Excel and insert it into PowerPoint as a link.

Best regards,
Ute

Yes, you can do this.

Copy the data in Excel.
Switch to PPT and insert a new chart or doubleclick an existing one.
Click in the chart's data sheet at the point where you want to insert the data
Choose Edit, Paste Link from the main menu bar.

The data is now linked to your Excel sheet.
It won't update automatically when you change the data in Excel; you'll have to
doubleclick the chart to activate first; then it'll update.
