Hi

I am running Windows 2000 and Word 2000. I would like to
know if you can have text in one word document and have
it linked to text in another word document so that when
you change the text in the main document it updates the
text in the other document.

How do I do it?

Thanks

Thanks

Hi John,

You can do this in a variety of ways. Perhaps the easiest to do is withal
copy & paste, but using Edit|Paste Special and checking the 'paste link'
option. This inserts the text as a link, via a LINK field. You might also
want to check out the use of INCLUDETEXT fields.

Cheers

You can paste (special) the text to the second document AS A LINK, and while
both documents are open, any change made to the first will be reflected
immediately in the second. Set the tools > options > general setting to
update automatic links on opening.
Make all changes in the first document.
