I have to secured databases and i am trying to link tables. no matter which
one i am trying to link to even if i am loged into both using teh admin
account i keep getting the following message:

"You do not have the necessary permissions to use the 'G:\file path\Tally
Sheet.mdb' object. Have your system administrator or the person who created
thei ocject establish the appropriate permissions for you."

Any help or direction would be great, thanks

You can only be logged in once in a session. It sounds as though the two
databases were secured with two separate workgroup files. The Admins Group
is different for the two workgroup files, therefore the administer account
you are logging in as does not have permission in the other workgroup file.

The only way to accomplish what you want is to create a user in both mdw
files with the exact same name/PID and put them in the Admins Groups in each
mdw file. You could have avoided this by securing both databases with a
single mdw file.
