Linking Spreadsheets Embedded in PPT Slides?

Is it possible to link EXCEL workbooks, where each is embedded in a different PPT slide? Many here seem to think it is possible, but none can do it - they can only set up link from an external workbook to multiple slides.

Linked vs Embedded spreadsheets are two different things.

You can do either, but they can't be both.

In Excel:
Select the content you want to use
Choose Edit, Copy or press Ctrl+C

In PowerPoint:
Navigate to the slide where you want to use the content

To Embed: choose Edit, Paste or press Ctrl+V
To Link: choose Edit, Paste Special, put a checkmark next to link
