Schenario: I have a company called NWtraders.msft that have branch offices in USA and branch offices in Australia, and their offices must to exchange files and resourses

How can I link two branch offices (e.g: in USA) using a 256Kbps link for example? I mean, want kind of tecnology is used to use (VPN, etc...)
And how can I link all branch office from one continent to the other continent branch offices(all from USA to all from Australia) ?
