Linking my emails to a contact record in

when i try to link email messages from Outlook to
business contact record(s) (who are not recipients of the
original email) in my Outlook Business Contact Manager
the link does not occurr. it should be relatively
intuitive with the "Link to history" tool bar on each
opened message but it simply does not save my selection
(s) despite trying alternative messages and contacts to
link. what could be a source of this inability to execute
this simple task?
 
I have the same problem - trying to link an email to any arbitrary
Opportunity, Contact, or Account does not work (and usually pops up an
error...).
