Is it possible to link a schedule in Excel to an access database

I.E When a VAC(Vacation) day is entered in the excel schedule worksheet a
table in Access updates with the information, or am I going about this in
the wrong way?

Or secondly, is it possible to write schedules in access.

I hope the above makes sense.

Cheers

It may be possible but I would not do it.
I would build the whole thing in Access.

It is possible to write schedules in Access.
I wrote one for a factory that rotated jobs amongst 750 employees weekly.
Quite complex.
Single shifts, two shifts and three shifts in various departments and weekly
transfers.

Thanks Joe

I suppose the next stupid question would then be, how did you make a
schedule in access?

If you have to use Excel as the user interface for entering
the vacstion dates and you're careful to make the data very
regular (as if it were a table in Access), then Access can
link to it. You can then use it pretty much as if it were a
real Access table.
