Linking Excel files

Can I link Excel files? If so, how would I do it? I have
sales figures on a worksheet and I need this exact column
in a new file each month? How would I link these? Please
advise. Thank you.
 
Search for link files, in excel help, it have all the
directions. after putting the formula in 1 cell, fill down.
